What we can help you with in our practice
In principle, you are welcome with any complaint. Together, we can assess whether our care can be of added value.
Experience shows that particularly chronic conditions and unexplained complaints can benefit from an integrated approach. This can be done alongside ongoing treatments with other doctors or healthcare providers.
See below for examples of some conditions:
Metabolic diseases such as high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome
Post Acute Infection Syndrome (PAIS) such as long-Covid, Post-Q fever, Chronic Lyme, and EBV
Autoimmune diseases, rheumatic conditions, fibromyalgia, arthrosis
Allergies, intolerances, chronic urticaria, and mast cell related conditions
Gastrointestinal complaints such as irritable bowel syndrome, abdominal cramps, constipation, acid reflux
Skin conditions such as eczema and acne
Chronic fatigue and burnout
Unexplained chronic complaints
Additional Testing
In consultation with you, we can explore whether additional testing might be valuable for investigating underlying issues. This may include:
Blood and urine testing
Microbiome analysis (examining the composition of gut flora)
BIA measurement (body composition measurement of fat mass, muscle mass, bones, water)
Microbiome analysis
An increasing number of studies show a connection between microbiome composition and conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, metabolic diseases, autoimmune diseases, and even mood disorders. Understanding your personal (gut) microbiome can therefore be valuable in understanding and treating persistent or chronic complaints.
If desired, we will assess whether it might be relevant to investigate this further. The practice works with microbiome-center.nl for analysis and possible support in treating a disturbed microbiome.
Good to know
Additional blood testing
Currently, the practice does not have the facilities to perform blood draws on-site.
If additional blood testing is decided upon, you will receive a link allowing you to make an appointment at a blood draw location near you.
Microbiome analysis
For the microbiome analysis, you will need to collect a stool sample at home. You will receive a collection kit by mail, which you can then send back yourself.
You can find more information here.
Vital field therapy
Analysis and treatment with vital field therapy is painless. Generally, you won't feel anything during the procedure.
Afterward, it's important to drink plenty of fluids (water/tea) and preferably avoid heavy physical work or exercise that day.
